Four reflexes to build before test day.
A method is useless on test day if it still takes effort. Repeat it on exercises in the real format until you stop thinking about it.
Read the question before the text: you will know what to look for.
Use the title, source and connectors to place the document.
Point to the sentence that proves your answer.
Keep twenty minutes for the last ten questions.
What the test makes you read
- Messages and letters, friendly or administrative
- Everyday documents: small ads, leaflets, menus, timetables
- Texts about daily life or work
- Articles and reports where the author takes a position
- Long, complex texts, factual, literary or specialized

Progressive difficulty
The last texts are the longest. Time spent early is time missing at the end.
The plausible answer
An answer that is true in general but absent from the text is wrong. You need the sentence that proves it.
Reading everything
Reading each document in full before the question wastes precious minutes out of 60.
